A Career in Nutritional Therapy

One on One ConsultationsA career in nutritional therapy can encompass many roles. ION graduates usually focus on one-to-one consultations, others use their qualification to enhance their other skills as a complementary therapist, nurse or GP. Whilst some focus on corporate work – advising, training and consulting. A number of our graduates have become successful authors and work extensively in the media.

Many ION graduates enter the nutrition arena having previously worked in a completely different field. The majority of which started their working life in more conventional jobs like, marketing, financial and nursing. Through one event or another they had a desire to discover more about nutritional therapy and sought to change their career direction to the field of nutrition. This is one of the key reasons that the Nutritional Therapy Diploma Course (NTDC) was designed as a part time course to enable students to continue working while they study at ION. This does not mean the course is an easy option and you should note that there is extensive research, homework and study required in addition to the monthly lecture weekends and tutorials.

Even so, our graduates find the training extremely enjoyable – and the career at the end rewarding and absorbing.
