Some Useful Tips when Choosing your Nutritional Therapist

Searching for a Nutritional Therapist to suit your Needs
All DipION nutritional therapists are trained to support you in all areas of nutrition and health. Many develop specific areas of expertise and focus their continued learning and consultation development within these areas. If you are arranging a consultation for a specific reason let the therapist know and ask them if they specialise in this area. The therapist will not mind and may be able to recommend someone more appropriate if the need arises.

Holistic Approaches to Nutritional Therapy
Some nutritional therapists also study other complementary therapies for example naturopathy and herbal medicine to enhance their approach to nutritional therapy with this additional knowledge. Feel free to ask the therapist you contact about this. It is for you and the therapist to agree on the approach you wish to take.

Customer Assurance
We only agree to list a DipION graduate on the web site after they have provided us with current insurance details and membership of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and/or membership of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).

In the very unlikely event that you have a serious complaint, please contact the governing body to which your therapist belongs, for assistance.

British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) t: 0870 606 1284

Complementary Medical Association (CMA) t: 0845 129 8434

Please note: that DipION therapists practicing outside of the UK will be associated with a nutritional body within their respective countries. Should the need arise, you will need to contact the representative body within that country.

We would also like to hear from you so that we are aware of the situation, and can act accordingly, to ensure that visitors to the directory can be confident they will receive the best service our graduates are able to offer.
