Entry requirements

The course is very science based, and demands the following prerequisites before potential students can be enrolled;


Academic Requirements

- Level 3 (A Levels or recognised equivalent) in Biology or Human Biology and Chemistry, or ION Science Access Course

- Level 2 (GCSE or recognised equivalent) in Mathematics and English

For those who have not completed these prerequisites, our Science Access (hyperlink) courses fulfills this requirement. Once the necessary Science Access courses are completed, students are eligible to be enrolled in the Diploma program. 

 

English Language Requirements

Non-native speakers of English need to be able to demonstrate the required level of English language - equivalent to IELTS grade 7.0 in all elements - to enrol on the course.

If you do not hold a relevant international English language qualification, we may arrange for you to take an oral and written assessment at ION.

 

Non-Academic Requirements

All applicants need to demonstrate appropriate motivation and commitment to studying, as well as a level of interpersonal skills.

In order to be able to successfully complete the course, applicants need to have access to Broadband Internet, an email account, be ICT literate, and able to word process.

We cannot accept candidates with medical conditions that would prevent them from being capable of, or fit for clinical practice.
