Short courses

At ION, we work ceaselessly to become the ‘industry leaders’ in the field, and we’re utterly committed to helping our industry’s practitioners and the general public alike to expand their understanding of the importance of nutrition and changes in nutrition and nutritional therapy.

We organise a number of short courses for a variety of audiences, including the general public, people considering a career in nutritional therapy and of course, Nutritional Therapists themselves.

Short courses / Tasters / General / Professional (CPDs)

  • General Courses are exciting for anyone with an interest in nutrition and who wishes to expand their knowledge. These workshops are for anyone interested in the topic. These courses are sometimes BANT recognised.
  • CPD events are for graduates in Nutrition and other health professionals to keep up-to-date with the most recent knowledge and developments in specific areas related to Nutritional Therapy practice. These courses are often BANT recognised.
  • Taste of Optimum Nutrition events are for members of the public with a personal interest in aspects of healthy nutrition, nutritional therapy and ION clinics or courses. They’re an excellent first-hand introduction to the work of Nutritional Therapists.

After conducting a comprehensive survey of Nutritional Therapists, we’ve developed a Short Course Programme that will be of very substantial benefit and practical use to everyone.

Please do take a look at our current programme and select which events you’d like to attend. Early booking is recommended as places are limited. Check the FAQs section for short courses' policy and conditions.

If you think there’s a topic or field that could benefit both you and others, please feel free to suggest this, or any other topic, by contacting our short course co-ordinator at shortcourses@ion.ac.uk
