About the Home Study course
Focusing on the principles of the food groups and their relationship with the body and good health, the ION Home Study Course (HSC) has been developed to provide the learner with a comprehensive understanding. enabling them to make informed choices when planning an optimum dietary programme. The HSC will provide the learner with the knowledge to recognise and support common ailments and conditions through diet, such as recognising food allergies and intolerances, joint, cardiovascular, digestive and respiratory health.
Packed with information, this course is also ideal for the health professional wishing to enhance their practice by offering some sound nutritional recommendations to their clients in relation to each individuals health status.
As you work through the Home Study we believe you will learn more than you ever thought possible. Working from a manual produced by our team of tutors, each module is supported by audio CDs and textbooks. At the end of each section there are practical tasks and tests to help you assess your progress, so by the time you have completed the course, you will know enough to keep you, your family and friends in the best possible health.
You will discover a lot about ‘what makes you tick’, including how food is turned into energy, how you might strengthen your immune system, discover and address food allergies and addictions, improve your energy and concentration, prepare for a healthy pregnancy, safeguard your baby’s health, be well in old age - and a lot more besides.
Additional books are included in your pack to widen this learning process, and you will be told when to refer to these books, when to perform some practical tests, and so on. The Home Study gives reference to further reading/publications in each chapter, allowing you to increase your knowledge and understanding in a subject that is of particular interest.
The course is ideal for anyone wishing to acquire sufficient knowledge to plan a personal nutrition programme, or for the complementary therapist wanting to enhance their practice with sound nutritional advice.

If you submit an application with a P O Box address it will be destroyed with no notification given.. If purchased online via Worldpay, we will automatically authorise Worldpay to refund your credit card. You will not receive any notification from us but will receive a refund confirmation receipt email from Worldpay. This may incur a small Worldpay commission charge.
Delivery Times & Delays:
Home Study packs are distributed through a hired mailing house and are only despatched during the first week of
each calendar month, distributing the previous months purchase orders. This means delivery can take anything up to 5 - 36 working days (UK) / 8 -38 working days (EU) / 16 -40 Working days (Overseas). Delivery times depend on the time of the month the order is placed.
Home Study packs are delivered by courier and require a signature. In addition to the billing address, please make sure to provide a suitable daytime delivery address if different..
