In addition to prior scientific studies or undertaking a Science Access Course, ION requires a minimum level of English and Maths for entry onto the NTDC.
GCSE grade A* to C or equivalent is required. If English is your second language, then you need to hold a qualification such as IELTS 7.0 or its equivalent. If you do not have such a qualification, you can arrange to come to ION and sit a one–hour written English test.
Finally, in order to study on the NTDC, you must have good basic word-processing skills, access to e-mail and the Internet. However, if you do not currently have these skills, ION can, provide free training to further develop these areas, including researching on the Internet. This offers you the opportunity to acquire expertise essential in the modern professional world.
