Nutritional therapists can be put off using functional tests – too many to choose from; their cost and the time and knowledge needed to interpret them. This practical day will look across the marketplace and help you gain confidence in identifying and appraising the tests that might support your practice best. Through case study presentations and in class practice, it will help you learn how to interpret findings in under 15 minutes and translate findings into clinical recommendations.

Who will teach?

Giulietta Durante BSc (Hons), mBANT, CNHC

Giulietta has a first class degree in Nutritional Therapy from Westminster University. She has been running a busy nutrition practice for over ten years, specialising in conditions like endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids. Her main reason for focusing on women’s health stemmed from a frustration at the lack of options offered to her by her own doctors when trying to deal with her own hormonal challenges.

Early on in her practice Giulietta realised that Functional Testing was key to developing personalised programmes so that her clients could achieve long lasting and sustainable positive changes in their health. As a result her clinic quickly flourished as many clients began to experience improvements in their health after many years of struggling with chronic conditions.

Giulietta has consulted on numerous public health campaigns and has overseen many lottery funded projects. She is passionate about helping young people and those from less fortunate backgrounds acquire the skills needed to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Giulietta also runs women’s wellness retreats where the focus is on providing a space for women to reconnect with themselves and restore their energy and vitality. This year she is planning to hold numerous weekend retreats in the UK as well as her annual week-long retreat to Ibiza.
