Inflammatory bowel disease is an umbrella term for two types of debilitating intestinal disease – Crohn’s Disease and Colitis. Together with Diverticular Disease these digestive disorders can cause considerable pain and distress for clients.

This online short course aims to synthesise and review the latest research and trends and give practitioners  confidence in applying these to cases. The course looks at the pathophysiology, medical diagnosis and medical management of each condition to help inform safe working practice.  It also looks at the functional underlying imbalances and immunological changes associated with each condition. Finally the course will provide dietary and lifestyle management suggestions to support long term condition management and acute episodes and complications.

This course has been structured and designed based on best practice in delivering an effective and interactive online learning experience. Anonymised case study data will be used.
