Applicants must normally demonstrate a broad general education including:

  1. Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  2. Two ‘A’ levels or equivalent qualifications (Level 3), with ‘A’ level in the sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy and Physiology)

Students who do not meet the requirements will need to complete The Science Access Course which consists of three modules: Chemistry, Biology and Anatomy & Physiology.

The course concentrates on aspects of these subjects that are particularly relevant to nutrition. You can study one, two or all three modules, depending on your particular requirements, through the attendance or distance learning option. As the diploma course is science orientated it is vital to build your science foundation to ensure you are fully prepared going onto the diploma course and there are no gaps in your learning.
