In addition to the qualifying nutrition courses we deliver, we also offer a range of one day food events for the general public, health and nutrition practitioners and students, which are hosted by some of the profession’s most respected academics, practitioners, chefs and authors.
Designed and delivered by Belinda Blake, a qualified Nutritional Therapist and ION lecturer, our lively and engaging Fabulous Food days provide a general overview of the properties of certain foods to support health needs and life stages, they also include tasting opportunities.
These days focus on how to support the body to function well overall rather than on specific conditions and will provide you with basic nutrition principles as well as creative ideas for incorporating appropriate foods into our diets.
Created and hosted by Christine Bailey, Nutritionist, Chef, Author and Broadcaster, our Eat Right days explain the properties of foods in relation to specific ‘conditions’ or needs from a functional perspective, as well as providing tasting opportunities.
Technical language may be used at times and recommendations may include testing or safe supplementation suggestions, but these insightful and interesting days are perfect for those who want to understand supportive foods from a functional perspective and who want to take away creative ideas for their incorporation into our diets.
Our informative and varied Food Education days aim to enhance skills and knowledge in a specific area of health, nutrition, restorative health and lifestyle. Hosted by specialist guest speakers, these events draw on the expertise, experience and scientific knowledge of experts from across the profession and across the globe.
Examples of previous courses include Mindful Eating for Happiness; Environmental Influences on Health and Recipe Writing and Food Blogging and Photography.
Each of these events provides five hours of ION attendance which gives nutritional therapy practitioners CPD points that count towards your BANT membership and CNHC registration. It is recommended that other professionals check with their professional bodies to see if these CPD points are accepted.
For those seeking more in-depth learning and development, we also offer a range of specifically designed Short courses & CPD for nutrition and health professionals.
Our courses are very popular so early booking is recommended to secure your place.
