About ION:

The Institute for Optimum Nutrition was founded by Patrick Holford with support of twice Nobel Prize winning scientist Professor Linus Pauling.

“Starting ION, in 1984, is what I’m most proud of. We had a really tough first ten years establishing the profession of nutritional therapy against all odds...But now it is. Loud and clear, thanks to the wonderful team at ION who have made the bold vision of 35 years ago come to fruition.”

Patrick Holford, Founder
