The course will include short sessions of lectures to establish key concepts and scientific underpinnings and help appraise the state of current research, followed by case study exercises, group work and discussions to consolidate learning and encourage critical thinking. Space is limited to 35 participants. You will be provided with essential information, practical tips and take home resources to help quickly implement learning from the course into your work.
Materials will be provided electronically approximately two weeks before the course. If you book less than 5 working days before the course or on the day, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the link until after the course. ION will provide any materials needed for group work on the day but not other materials.
PLEASE NOTE: Education research demonstrates that participants learn most when they focus on the speaker and write their own short personalised notes rather than writing on the materials provided. We therefore encourage participants to use them as reference materials when home and there is no need to print them all for the day. We encourage participants to think in advance about the key questions you would like answered by the day and for you to tailor your learning, questioning and note taking to address these.
