Grow your career in nutritional therapy education at ION

The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) is one of the UK’s longest established and respected higher education institutions in nutritional therapy. This is an exciting time at the Institute as we continue to grow and develop new courses and awards.

We have a great opportunity for you to join a hardworking and experienced team and get involved with activities and developmental projects across the organisation.

At ION, we aim to create a stimulating, challenging and rewarding learning experience. We do this through sharing a unique fusion of education, research and professional practice and inspiring our students and staff to enrich our communities. Our skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, and who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences to build our learning community.

We are now looking to recruit a Level Leader and Personal Tutoring Lead.  You will lead level 4 (first stage) of the degree and diploma in nutritional therapy and will be responsible for the delivery of the personal tutoring service.

As a Level Leader and Personal Tutoring Lead, you will have either an applied nutrition, nutritional therapy or functional medicine or similar background, with accredited qualifications or extensive experience. You will be able to demonstrate your first-class teaching, course management, communication, presentation and organisation skills as used with students, colleagues and external stakeholders. You derive enjoyment from leading and working as part of a team and supporting your staff through supervision.

Through you, the Personal Tutors will provide academic guidance and encouragement; be an initial point of contact for pastoral issues; and support students professional development by signposting to appropriate professional development resources.  Personal tutors need to take a facilitative approach to support ION students to develop autonomy and independence in their learning.

If you have a passion to share your love of teaching and nutrition join us.

We offer flexible working, but some attendance at any ION venue, restrictions permitting is required.
