Teach the integration of nutritional therapy to allied healthcare practitioners at ION

The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) is one of the UK’s longest established and respected higher education institutions in nutritional therapy. This is an exciting time at the Institute as we grow and launch new courses and awards.

We are now looking to recruit a module coordinator to join our dynamic and growing academic team. Your role will primarily be module development and delivery, ensuring students, with first degrees in health sciences and clinical practice, have every opportunity to achieve their best throughout their studies.

The Integrative Functional Nutrition level 6 Graduate Diploma is revolutionary and the first of its kind within the Nutritional Therapy profession. It is designed exclusively for experienced and practising medical, CAM and allied healthcare professionals, who wish to integrate personalised nutrition and lifestyle modification into their existing practice. Based on the philosophy and principles of functional medicine, the course is practice-focused with learning centred on case histories, reflection and on student-led fieldwork.

Educated to at least level 7 (Master’s), you will have either an applied nutrition, nutritional therapy, or functional medicine background with accredited qualifications. You will be able to demonstrate your skills in first-class teaching, module management, communication, presentation, and organisation, as used with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders. You derive enjoyment from leading and working as part of a team. As a professional you will be required to maintain your professional body membership and/or registrations.
