Supporting You, Supporting Success

Returning to education can open up a world of opportunities, but taking that step and managing your studies can be challenging at times. Teaching methods may have changed since you last studied, this may be a new subject to you, or you may have other commitments competing for your time.

Our courses are rigorous and challenging both in content and time commitment. That is why we work with you to help identify your support needs, so that you can focus on developing the skills you need to succeed.

Whether you are an attendance or e-learning student, we are here to help:

  • The Academic Support Tutor can support your learning and development needs via email, webinars, telephone and one-to-one tutorials to support
  • The Academic Support Tutor can offer guidance in identifying core learning strategies to help you get the most from your studies and time with ION
  • When undertaking your assignments, each module leader will give you specific academic support relevant to the particular assignment set
  • Your year leader will ensure the overall quality of the academic support you receive, making sure that you get what you need to succeed
  • Our dedicated Courses Administration department will ensure your study goes smoothly and support you with any non-academic issues that arise

In addition to the above, when you start your clinical practice modules, our clinic tutors will be there to guide and advise you, using techniques such as reflective practice to help you develop your therapeutic practice skills and manage the therapeutic relationship.

ION promotes equality, diversity and inclusion, and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds. ION is also committed to supporting students with disabilities and identified learning difficulties.
