Zara says:

“Scientific evidence demonstrates the powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effects of turmeric’s active compounds (mainly Curcumin*). A turmeric latte is comforting, soothing and a great way of including this ancient spice, which has been used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years.”

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 250ml coconut milk
  • ½ tsp-1tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method:

  1. Heat all ingredients in a pan over high/medium heat until warmed. For best results, use an electric hand whisk.
  2. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy.

* N.B. The curcumin content of turmeric is not that high and most of the studies carried out use large quantities of curcumin to demonstrate its therapeutic effects.
