Optimum Nutrition Clinic

Eat well. Live well. Be well.

Most people recognise that good nutrition is important for good health, but many don’t understand the real impact that the food we eat can have on our daily lives and wellbeing.

Whether you are feeling unwell, have a long standing condition, or just want to improve your sense of overall wellbeing, visit our friendly, trusted not-for-profit clinic.

Our fully qualified and supportive nutritional therapists work with people every day to improve health and wellbeing, whatever your issue, they will help you find out how to improve your health naturally and safely.

What can we help with?

There is no one size fits all approach, we look to provide personalised nutrition support.

Many of our clients feel they:

  • don't know what they should eat
  • are confused by all the recommended diets
  • have removed food groups from their daily meals
  • no longer enjoy food

Some of the more common issues that our clients suffer from include:

Colds and infections  | Digestive issues  |  Extreme fatigue (tired all the time)  |  Female health  |  Fertility concerns  |  Food sensitivities  |  Headaches and migraines  |  Hormonal imbalances  |  Immunity issues  |  Preventative health  |  Skin problems  |  Sleep problems  |  Stress and anxiety   |  Thyroid issues  |  Weight loss

 * If you have been diagnosed or suspect you may have a medical condition, you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.

How does it work?

Watch the film below to find out more about how our clinic works and the services we offer.

Founded in 1984, The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) has been successfully training Nutritional Therapists for more than 30 years and offering support, advice and guidance to the public through our Optimum Nutrition Clinic.

During your visit our experts will identify the nutrition and lifestyle strategies best suited to help you achieve your goals. Our focus is on treating the underlying cause, rather than simply addressing your symptoms. We call this approach functional medicine.

We offer a range of treatment options. You can book a Supervised Student Therapist appointment, a one-to-one session with one of our Qualified Therapists or a consultation with our most experienced Senior Therapists.

Want to know more about good nutrition?

In addition to our clinical services, ION offers a range of fun and informative public events, and a quarterly magazine, to keep you up-to-date with the latest nutrition news, as well as providing you with practical tips and inspired recipes to improve overall health and wellbeing.
