Sometimes after training for a career in nutritional therapy, life gets in the way. Perhaps you didn’t get started in practice, or maybe you put it on hold while dealing with other priorities. For qualified nutritional therapists who have been out of practice for three years or more, we offer a range of options validated by the University of Portsmouth, leading to registration/re-registration with CNHC (rCNHC) and full membership of BANT (mBANT). Katie Shore Entry options Non-practising for 3-7 years: Option 1 - Clinical Practice credit bearing short courseThis is a 6-month course that begins in September and February. It consists of one module that provides 20 credits at Level 6. More than one module may be required for those who have not been in practice for 5-to-7 years if there is insufficient evidence of current CPD.Enhance your clinical skills by adding coaching and/or behaviour change modules. In addition, you may wish to update your functional nutrition knowledge with Functional Nutrition 1 & 2 short courses. Alternatively, you may wish to consider the Top-up and upgrade your qualification to a degree. Non-practising for 7+ years: Option 2 - Graduate Diploma Integrated Functional Nutrition plus Clinical Practice Credit Bearing Short CourseThis course comprises two parts, with the Clinical Practice Credit Bearing Short Course taken after successful completion of the Graduate Diploma Integrative Functional Nutrition. Both courses are NTEC-accredited for CNHC registration and BANT full membership (mBANT).Depending on your previous qualifications, and currency of nutrition and clinical practice knowledge and skills, there are other available Return to Practice routes available: Option 3 - BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy (Top-up)Clinical Practice module required.
