Continue your professional development with our Safely supporting winter immunity: A practitioner approach course
This course is designed to provide practitioners with the tools to enable them to support clients with winter immunity. A key focus is a better understanding of the impact of immune medications on the body especially immune function. During the course we will explore how nutritional approaches to immunity can support and counteract these medications.
Medications used for immune related disorders can often have significant impacts on the body and interactions can be dangerous. This course is designed to help practitioners navigate these impacts safely and effectively. Interaction databases give little context to the significance of the interaction which can make supporting these clients difficult. This course aims to equip practitioners and students with a key understanding of which interventions can be made safely and under what circumstances.
It will also look at the key safety concerns associated with their use. It will also look at the many supplements used for supporting immunity and their interaction risk with medication in general. This will enable practitioners to better support clients on these medications and improve their immune resilience during the winter months. It will explore the difference between immunostimulatory and immunomodulatory supplements and what this means in practice.
It will explore how the condition being treated impacts the clinical decision-making process and give clear guidance on how this governs what can be used safely.
Finally it will leave practitioners with a toolkit that can be used safely in their clinics to improve better management of immune conditions.

Debbie Grayson, known as the Godmother of Pharmacology is a pharmacist with over 30 years experience and has been a BANT registered nutritional therapist for over 10 years. She is widely acknowledged as the expert in drug nutrient interactions and the safe support of clients taking medication. Her work is mainly focused on educating nutrition professionals in how medication impacts clients and how to support this naturally. In addition to online courses Debbie also runs Practice with Confidence, a mentorship program designed to support practitioners and students to improve their clinical knowledge and maintain high standards of safe client care. Debbie is always assessing the most up to date research regarding interactions between medication and nutritional interventions. Her teaching style is designed to improve understanding of this complex concept and improve practitioner confidence when working with complex clients. Immune medication and the interactions with supplements is an area where the clarity of impact is difficult to assess. Debbie has spent the last three years attempting to bring clarity to this area of clinical support to enable practitioners to have greater confidence supporting this group of clients who often have a greater need for nutritional support.
