Continue your professional development with our Enzymes for gut therapeutics and better clinical outcomes course

This course covers how to utilise Enzymes nutraceuticals from a gut function perspective. It will explain how to interpret gut distress signals and narrow down the therapeutic goals. It gives clear direction on how to build and implement gut recovery programmes in response to a range of digestive complaints that practitioners tend to see most in clinical practice.

This comprehensive, clinically focused CPD course is a deep-dive into the top digestive problems that often present in clinical practice.

Participants will learn evidence-informed strategies they can instantly apply in practice for food sensitivities, SIBO (hydrogen, methane, hydrogen sulphide), Candida, motility disorders, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, gallbladder issues, heartburn and reflux, along with the emerging digestive implications of weight-loss and other common medications.

This course is designed to strengthen core knowledge, sharpen assessment, simplify therapeutic planning, and equip attendees with the knowledge to utilise enzymes and increase clinical confidence.

What will I learn?

By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • Confidently use enzymes and other interventions to alleviate and resolve common digestive complaints.
  • The practice of nutrition is to quickly identify where common issues such as bloating; heartburn, constipation, food sensitivities, and motility problems arise – and how to efficiently resolve them. This course will explain the role of the gastrointestinal nervous system, hormonal system and secretory systems – and how to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • We will explore why unwanted reactions to foods can manifest in previously tolerant clients, what to look for and how to restore tolerance in a safe and targeted way. There will be a session on identifying and resolving SIBO and Intestinal Candida overgrowth, two common gut conditions are frequently the root causes of persistent digestive and systemic symptoms that can be managed and improved through targeted nutritional therapy.
  • A wide range of factors can cause motility symptoms. Being able to identify the specific underlying mechanisms and what they respond to allows for targeted, impactful interventions. GLP-1 mediations are the fastest growing medical intervention worldwide – knowing how to support clients who are on, or coming off these medications is a therapeutic language every nutritional therapist needs to know and this will be explored.
  • Gallbladder dysfunction can lead to a wide range of health issue both digestive and systemic. Nutritional therapy can help manage gallbladder problems and the consequences of removal. This course will teach you how to identify, test, safeguard and support clients with gallbladder problems.
  • Heartburn and Reflux is not only common, but also an area in which diet and lifestyle can have dramatic beneficial effects, when managed appropriately. We will cover how to support clients who have heartburn or reflux, as well as how to support them as they taper them off medications such as PPIs, antacids and alginates.
