  • Integrate personalised and functional nutrition into your practice

Our fully online Graduate Diploma in Integrative Functional Nutrition has been specifically designed for CAM practitioners and allied health and medical professionals looking to add the principles of personalised and functional nutrition to their existing skills set and practice.

A fast track qualification to understanding the role of nutrition in human health and well-being

The Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) delivers internationally renowned nutritional therapy training and we are proud to offer this innovative graduate diploma course – the first of its kind.

You will learn how to use the principles of personalised and functional medicine to inform nutrition provision within your current and future practice. We combine the latest theoretical and applied knowledge from nutrition, science, and the psychology of behaviour change to help you build an in-depth understanding of the role that nutrition and lifestyle plays in human health and wellbeing.

Our graduate diploma (GradDip or GDip) is a higher education professional award at the same level as the final year of a Bachelor's Honours degree. It is fully focused on the application of integrated functional nutrition and is unique in offering a high level of specialisation, designed to equip health professionals to incorporate integrative functional nutrition and lifestyle approaches into their current practice.

Based on the philosophy and principles of functional medicine, the course is practice-focused with learning centred on case histories and reflection on student-led fieldwork.
