Discover the latest nutritional science and gain the skills to appraise dietary information and guidelines.  

When it comes to how diet and nutrition impact our health and wellbeing, one size does not fit all. This Level 4 course, validated by the University of Portsmouth, provides a thorough grounding in the principles of diet and lifestyle approaches to health.  

Who can apply? 

The course is suited to anyone who wishes to learn about the impact of diet and health and wellbeing, and to professionals including health coaches and healthcare practitioners who wish to add healthy eating and lifestyle guidance to their work or practice.

Entry requirements  

  • ION welcomes mature students with a non-traditional education who are self-directed, with a passion for learning, and have an investigative and questioning attitude. 
  • Level 3 education or equivalent experiential learning in nutrition or health sciences. 
  • Qualifications in health sciences in particular biology or anatomy and physiology, holistics, beauty, social care or coaching. 
  • Candidates who wish to progress to the Cert HE Personalised Diet and Health, or the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy must check that they meet entry requirements.
