Celebrating a legacy of scientific curiosity, connection and discovery
This special event is dedicated to celebrating the life, vision and lasting impact of our Dean, Heather Rosa, whose passion for advancing nutritional science, education and collaborative research inspired so many across our community.
In her honour, we invite you to join friends, colleagues, students, alumni, healthcare professionals and industry partners for reflection, learning and networking as we explore one of the most exciting frontiers in modern medicine: the role of mitochondria in health and disease — the very event Heather was planning before she passed.
What truly drives human health, ageing and disease?
Far more than simply the “powerhouse of the cell,” mitochondria are sophisticated command centres of cellular function, influencing energy production, metabolism, immune health, ageing and disease. They are, quite literally, the motherboard of human biology.
Through expert-led presentations and meaningful conversations, we’ll explore the latest insights into mitochondrial science and its far-reaching implications for healthcare, while celebrating the spirit of curiosity and lifelong learning that Heather embodied.
Supporting the Heather Rosa Bursary Fund for future Nutritional Therapists
ION Dean Heather Rosa dedicated her career to advancing nutritional therapy education and inspiring generations of students and practitioners. In her memory, we have established the Heather Rosa Bursary Fund to honour her remarkable contribution to the profession and the lasting difference she made to so many lives.
Your donation will help support future nutritional therapy students facing financial barriers, enabling them to pursue their studies and continue the work Heather was so passionate about. Together, we can ensure her commitment to excellence in nutritional therapy education lives on through the next generation of practitioners.
