International VAT and Import Charges for Customers

There is no sales tax (VAT/GST) on books in the UK. Shipments to international customers may attract import charges, usually VAT applied by the government of the recipient country and collected by the courier or postal service that is transporting your parcel. This is the case with shipments to the EU since Brexit. Admin fees may also be charged in addition to VAT charges. This is because many governments have asked couriers to collect these charges on their behalf and the couriers have chosen to pass this cost on at the point of delivery.

If applicable, you will be notified of the amount and how to pay by your local customs/ delivery company before the book can be delivered. These costs are not determined or levied by ION or our distributor CP-UK. Failure to accept those charges may result in non-delivery of your order and additional costs to return to ION.

We urge all international customers to check their own country's rules and regulations prior to purchase, as ION cannot take responsibility for taxes and charges beyond our control.
