She explains how a women’s hormones begin to change when she enters midlife, and why this can lead to specific symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings and joint pain. Jackie also provides lots of practical tips for specific foods and nutrients that can target symptoms, and dispels some commons myths, including why fat doesn’t make you fat, and why good nutrition is just as important after the menopause as during.

Jackie’s clinical work has inspired her to write Va Va Voom: the 10-Day Energy Diet, The Right Bite: Smart Food Choices for Eating on the Go, and The Happy Menopause: Smart Nutrition to Help You Flourish. An accomplished speaker, Jackie hosts regular talks and wellness workshops, as well as The Happy Menopause Podcast.
